Another professional bout has been added to November 27′s Rocktagon 30 event in Cleveland, as Reggie Parks (2-1) is set to take on Chris Hicks (2-1) in a welterweight bout. The organization made the announcement earlier today via its Twitter page.
The 38-year-old Parks comes in looking to rebound from his first professional loss, as he was submitted by Shane Chojnacki in the main event at PinnacleFC 4 in Pittsburgh in August. Prior to that, he had scored back-to-back knockout victories, including a TKO over Kyle Nickle at Rocktagon 25 in Indianapolis. This will be Parks’ first fight in Ohio since 2011, when he dropped a majority decision to Dave Vandevelde in amateur action.
Hicks is a Wisconsin native, and all three of his bouts have ended via rear naked choke since he made the jump to pro action earlier this year. Two of his three bouts were wins, including both stoppages in the first round.
In addition to this bout, the card features a five round headliner for the lightweight title as Rob Hanna faces Andrew Law, and middleweight Tiawan Howard (11-10) is also expected to be on the card in professional action. In amateur action, Tobiaus Taylor (3-1) will look to rebound from his first loss in a featherweight bout.
