The fight card for this weekend’s UVC 26: Uprising event has been released, and 10 bouts are slated to go down at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus.
In the main event, professional heavyweights will square off as Tim Dunn (1-1) takes on Justin Woods (3-0) in a matchup of knockout artists. Dunn comes in looking to rebound from a first round TKO loss at the hands of Jeremy Linville last month, while Woods looks to stay unbeaten as he competes for the first time since January. The fighters have combined for 17 victories via strikes in 20 combined wins including their respective amateur careers, and Woods has had just one bout make it out of the first round.
The co-main event will foil the striking battle in the headliner, as a pair of grapplers will square off in a 160-pound catchweight bout. Former UVC welterweight champion William Max Scoby (2-0) will look to remain unbeaten as he takes on Vision MMA’s Stephen Singleton (1-3). Scoby has had a pair of impressive submission wins as a pro, while Singleton has struggled against very tough competition this far since making the jump from his amateur days.
In amateur action, Jordan Schembri (3-1) is set to take on Darnell Pettis (5-3) in the finals of the UVC bantamweight tournament. It’s a classic wrestler vs. striker matchup, as the former wrestler Schembri takes on the boxer Pettis.
