The lineup for Saturday’s NAAFS: Night of Champions 2013 has been finalized, and the event features 17 amateur bouts, including six title fights.
Most notably, Ohio’s No. 2 ranked pound-for-pound female fighter Vanessa Demopoulos (4-0) is set to take on New Jersey’s Katlyn Chookagian (4-0) for the 120-pound title.
At bantamweight, Evolve MMA’s Mario Micale (7-5) will look for his seventh career victory via submission, as he takes on Instigator Fight Team’s unbeaten Seth Shaffer (5-0).
A lightweight battle between the state’s top two fighters at 155 pounds will feature grinding Pittsburgh product Nick Browne (9-1) against submission ace Nick Foxhuber (7-1).
Wrestling Factory Cleveland’s Josh Krizan (7-1) will look for his fifth win in a row as he takes on Indiana’s unbeaten knockout artist Ivan Rodriguez (5-0) for the welterweight title.
At middleweight, Cody Tominack (5-1) will get his chance for revenge against Strong Style’s JT Miller (5-0) after being knocked out in their first meeting in April.
And at heavyweight, Antwan Phillips (4-0) will look to remain unbeaten when he takes on Evolve MMA’s Jeff Hughes (11-2).
